Right grab a drink...ready? So, this feels a little like an interview and I have never been very good at those. So I will give it a shot at selling myself, I will even haggle on the price!I am a very down to earth person that will take things as they come, good or bad. I don’t flap or get into a panic but rather stand back and assess then form a plan. On the subject of plans, boy do I love planning things especially get aways and holidays. Just say you want to go somewhere and I am the case of how to get there, where to stay and what to see. I will have even been on Amazon for the books and maps.I would love to travel more than I have done and there are so many places I would like to visit in the UK before I get old. I like to go to historic places and would rather be in the hills and countryside than cities (cities abroad excepted!). Favourite places are Northumberland, Cornwall and Lake District. I am a member of National Trust and English Heritage.
I try get out walking when I can and love a walk in the woods when it is pouring with rain. Would like to do a mud run and possibly a live music festival.I love dogs which links nicely to the walking! Other interests include the usual cinema, drinks out, do a pub quiz each week and like to watch The Chase on TV (might even apply to go on). I like to read thrillers and crime fiction and in the process of trying to write my own.Now for the hard sell…I am kind, considerate, reliable, thoughtful, sentimental and always happy to accommodate other people in doing what they want. However, if I REALLY want to do something then I will do it no matter what. Very good sense of humour which borders on being dry with a subtle edge.
